In the 1960s the Harper Brothers began with three boys and a desire to sing. At the ages of 6, 7, and 8 with the help of their mother the boys learned how to sing and learned what it meant to share the gospel of Jesus in song. As children they went to Nashville to record their first album. The sons of a Baptist preacher, the Three Ds as they came to be known Doyle, Dale, and Danny began singing in local churches in Florida. It wasnt long before they were singing on public courthouse squares in Kentucky as their father preached to the people that gathered. As they grew and moved from place to place, the boys continued to give their talents back to the Lord through music.
Many years later, though some of the faces have changed, the legacy continues. Doyle, Jeff, and Wayne continue to carry on a ministry that started so many years ago. A family rich with a heritage of music, ministry, and a love for people, night after night they continue to take the stage for yet another opportunity to offer others an invitation to meet the man they sing about. As the journey continues and the ministry carries on it is a definite reminder that we're all born to serve the Lord.
